Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Momovo collects, why it is used, and the choices users have.

Last updated: 16 July 2026

Data We Collect

  • Account data, including email address and display name.
  • Authentication data handled by our authentication provider. Momovo does not read or store your password in plain text.
  • Skill and practice data, including names, weekly targets, active status, momentum values, and progress logs.
  • Feedback you choose to send, including the feedback type and message.
  • Basic technical data processed by hosting, security, analytics-free infrastructure, and email providers as needed to run the service.

How We Use Data

  • To create and secure your account.
  • To provide skill tracking, progress logging, dashboard views, momentum calculations, password resets, and account deletion.
  • To respond to feedback, fix bugs, improve the app, and prevent misuse.
  • To send transactional emails such as verification, password reset, and feedback notifications.

Cookies and Local Storage

Momovo does not currently use optional advertising or tracking cookies. The app may use essential cookies or similar storage for login sessions, security, password reset flows, and one-time status messages. These are necessary for the service to work.

Service Providers

Momovo uses trusted third-party providers for hosting, authentication, database storage, transactional email, security, spam prevention, and other infrastructure needed to run the service. These providers process data only as needed to provide their services.

Security

Momovo uses access controls, Row Level Security, server-side secret keys for sensitive operations, and provider-managed security features. No system can be guaranteed perfectly secure, but reasonable steps are taken to protect account and progress data.

Data Sharing

Momovo does not sell personal data. Data may be shared with service providers, if required by law, to protect rights or safety, or in connection with a future business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of the service.

Data Retention

Account data and progress data are kept while your account exists. If you delete your account, account-owned data is intended to be deleted through database cascades. Some provider logs, backups, or email records may remain for a limited time where required for security, legal, or operational reasons.

Your Choices

  • You can update your display name and password in the app.
  • You can reset or delete individual skills.
  • You can delete your account from the account page.
  • You can contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests.

Children

Momovo is not intended for use by children under 18 years of age. If we learn that we have collected personal information through the service from a child under 18 without the consent of the child's parent or guardian where required by law, we will delete it.
